Dear Diary,

Today has been a rollercoaster of a day as I finally got what I've desired since my wedding, Patrick dead! Ever since I walloped him on the head I have never felt so relieved as all he did was boss me around. Day after day was command after command. I'm surprised I didn't kill him any sooner. Although I knew what I was doing, I wasn't aware of the consequences, or what would happen to the baby. The penalty of murder was death but would they let me off if I had a baby? Who knows, but I cannot afford to take any risks.

I'm trying to play it cool until I have the baby so I can then pretend that someone else had killed my husband; but I also have to get out of town so that the police don't wonder where Patrick is.

When I went to the market, I was really nervous that I could not act normal, but I managed to hold it out as Sam( the grocer) was a great conversationalist and took the conversation about Patrick off track. I really hope the neighbours don't call the police.
