On Thursday 13th July 2017, class 3 looked at how fortunate we are in Ysgol Penboyr that we are able to get clean running water whenever we choose. The class listened to the story about Nirinasoa, who lives in Madagascar. They, through pictures in a powerpoint, saw the long journey Nirinasoa has to take just to get water. They came to realise that the water Nirinasoa was collecting was extremely dirty and a class discussion took place as to how this could affect Nirinasoa and her health. They were shocked to realise that Nirinasoa had to do the same journey three times a day. Following the lesson two pupils, Kyla and Erin created a e-book in Book Creator about Nirinasoa’s journey.
