Fairtrade welsh cakes
Ingridients.

1 Egg
225g Plain flour
100g Butter
75g Fairtrade caster sugar
1/4 Tsp mixed spice
1/2 Tsp baking powder
milk If needed
75g Fairtrade Currants/Choclate
Pinch of salt


Method
First we weighed 225g of plain flour and then
we sieved all of it in a big plastic bowl.
Next we put in the mixed spice,baking powder
and a pinch of salt.
Then we added 100g of butter in
the bowl.
Next with our hands we crumbled it
into bread crumbs.
After that we added 75g of
caster sugar.
Then we put in 75g of currants.
Next we cracked the egg and with our
hands we mixed it into a dough
ball.
After that we sieved the flour on the
table and put the dough ball in the flour.
Then we rolled the dough until it was 1/2 a cm
thick.
After that we cut them into shapes and put
them on the oven to cook for 3mins.

Top tip:If you dont like currants why not try fairtrade choclate.
