This week we have been learning about the story We're Going on a Bear Hunt, we have had so much fun reading the story and have loved exploring this tale.

To support our learning we have made our own story maps, we sequenced the story and had a chat about all the different areas of the bear hunt, the grass, the river, the mud, the forest, the snow storm and the cave.

We then used different materials and made a story map, by sticking, and mark making. Some of us also had a go at using our name cards to write our name!

The F1 Children had a go at writing some words like mud, and we also had a go at writing some initial sounds like 'f' for forest and 'r' for river.

After all the maps where finished we went on our own bear hunt! We travelled through the grass, river, mud, forest, snow and then found a cave, inside the cave was a big bear!

Next week we are going to be learning all about Easter, it would be fantastic if you could bring in some Easter drawings and/or collages.
