UNICEF Week 2015 - Day 2- Healthy Day

Things kicked off with a special fitness session on the playground

Children came in dressed in sports’ clothes for £1 with the proceeds going to Water Aid.

‘ The Smoothie Bike Company’ got the children in KS1 and KS2 classes to generate some pedal power to make fruit smoothies and we welcomed visitors from ‘Mary’s Meals’ who shared with us how they provide children from some of the world’s poorest communities with one good meal a day at school.

The Friends of Sacred Heart (FOSH) have very generously provided each child in the school with a BPA-free water bottle to have in the classroom. They look fantastic and will encourage the children to stay hydrated and focussed on their learning!
