In this fantastic term in year 5, we have been learning and creating our own Brazilian dances, that include:

- The shimmy shake

- The tornado turn

- The carnival clap

- The basic rumba

- The carnival wave

- The samba roll

Follow the steps below to know how to perform the some moves!

1.The shimmy

- stand shoulder width apart

- put your hands into fists and hold them diagonally in line with your shoulders

- slowly wriggle your shoulders back and forth

- bend forwards and backwards and that's your shimmy shake!

2.The samba roll

- first make your hands into fists

- place your fists parallel to each other

- roll around and around.

- move them up and down while

rolling (IN TIME).

3. carnival clap

- first, clap by putting your hands

together.

-then put them above your head

-jog on the spot.

-do all three things together

4. the carnival wave

-jog on the spot

-wave your hands above your head
