ANT LIFE CYCLE

  1. The life cycle of an ant has four main stages
  2. The larvae hatch out of an egg and they shed their skin several times.
  3. Most of the ants spin a silken cocoon around their bodies and rest inside until they grow into adults.
  4. A nurse ant bites a hole at one end of the cocoon as soon as a pupa is ready to come out, a tiny ant comes out.
  5. The nurse ant feeds and washes the baby ant.
  6. Some ants live up to 15 years but most of them live between 6 to 10 weeks.
