THE JABBERWOCKY

The Jabberwocky poem is about a young warrior who was sent by his wise sage father, to slay a frumious (fuming,furious) creature that lurked in the meadow.

It uses lots of portmanteau words (one word that carries lots of meanings) e.g. mimsy,frumious,chortle, burble . we had ideas about what words made up the portmanteau words.

here are some of our ideas.

Mimsy = misty and flimsy

Frumious = fuming and furious

Chortle= chuckle and snort

Burble= bubble and gurgle
