More popular than the theartre was the amphitheartre .A big round space where people could watch gladiators .Gladiators were slaves or criminals who were forced to fight to the death for the entertainment of others .They also fought animals especialy bears , wich still roamed scotland in those days . Scottish bears were sent all the way to Rome just to fight in the amphitheatres .
