The Tortoise and the Rabbit

Dear Peter Pig,

Last week Mr Duck and I, Mrs Fox, went out to see a race against the tortoise.

In the morning we all went to the venue in Rosebery farm to see who was going to compete against the tortoise.It was the famous Peter Rabbit. We all knew that the rabbit is the best runner, but the tortoise has a big heart and never backs down.

We picked our seat and watched them race. The rabbit went so fast we couldn't see him but the tortoise was so slow. After several hours the rabbit was tired and he took a nap under a tall tree. The rabbit slept for so long that the tortoise went past him and reached the finishing line before Peter Rabbit.Suddenly, Peter Rabbit woke up and when he saw the tortoise at the finishing line he ran so fast to try to reach it before the tortoise but it was all for nothing because the tortoise was already past the finishing line.
