Solar Eclipse

A solar eclipse is when the moon, the earth and the sun all line up so it looks like the moon is covering up the sun.

There are 2 types of solar eclipses; a partial (when the moon isn't covering all of the sun) and a total (when the moon is covering all of the sun).

Remember, never look directly into the so because you can seriously damge your eyes. If you would like to look at the sun you need to wear some special solar viewing glasses like these:
