Snow
Snow is currently falling in all of Britain but do we know what causes it?
Well if not, you came to the right place! After reading this blog you will be word perfect on the cycle of snow!

Did you know that snow is caused when there is moist in the air, the moisture eventually forms into tiny droplets and because of the cold temperature, the droplets then freeze.
The process repeats and eventually, the frozen droplets sometimes join together and get bigger and harder and when they are heavy enough, they turn into snow.

But would you like to know what goes on before that? Lets take a look at the water cycle to see how it all starts.

First of all comes 'Condensation'. Condensation is when a gas is changed into a liquid know as H20 or also known as 'Water' gases float in the air and all of the water vapour joins together and becomes heavier, consequently falling down as water.

After comes 'Infiltration' which is when the water sinks into the ground and into the Earth through the soil and laying upon rock layers.

Next is 'Runoff' which is when some of the water that has come down to the Earth
goes with the wind and into lakes, rivers, Oceans etc.

There is also 'Evaporation' when the water suddenly turns into gas (Also known as 'Vapour' and flows into the air.

'Precipitation' is when the vapour turn into clouds in the sky and eventually gets compacted tightly together so small drops from the cloud fall to the Earth also know as 'Rain'.

'Transpiration' is when the rain drops get absorbed by soil and goes into roots of plants and feeds them through the stems. This process is called 'Transpiration'
