The death penalty shouldn't be issued in any country or state

Currently 32 states out of 50 in America issue the death penalty. In 2013, 22 countries around the world carried out executions and over 57 forced it. No person in this world should be murdered no matter what they have done. This is an increasing problem that needs to be stopped.

Firstly, the death penalty shouldn't be issued in any country or state because everyone has a right to live and if you take away that right then you are as bad as the murderer. Even if the person scheduled to be executed murdered somebody else, that does not give authorities the right to murder them. Furthermore, taking the life of a murderer makes authorities criminals essentially.

Secondly, the death penalty shouldn't be issued in any country or state because people go to prison to be punished and to learn their lesson so that when they are released they will have become a better person and offer more to society. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Thirdly, the death penalty shouldn't be issued in any country or state because it will only lead to more violence: if the criminal is part of a gang or group, then that gang/group will create havoc amongst the police and government by starting up riots or vandalising property- they will back up their teammate. For example, during the summer of 2011, large riots kicked of in the UK making every other innocent life harder due to traffic and shops being unavailable.

In conclusion, the death penalty shouldn't be issued because no one has the right to take away the life of another person; everyone deserves a second chance but many ruthless people think otherwise; and killing a person as punishment for a crime they have committed will only lead to more violence (riots will start but never end) So that is why the death penalty shouldn't be issued in any country or state.
