Greta

Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is a 17 year old girl born in Stockholm

(Sweden). You may think she is quite young but she has already changed the world in many different ways. Eventually,Greta was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and selective-mutism. In one of her first speeches demanding climate action, Thunberg described her condition as meaning she "only speaks when necessary"; although, this condition has never stopped her from speaking out. She is an activist for climate change and  protests to fight against it. Climate change is a process when humans activities have increased carbon dioxide emissions, driving up temperatures. This causes polar ice caps to melt and is ruining natural environments. Many people, particularly the young, are angry about this and have  missed school to protest. Protests are when people gather into a large group and have a strong argument to make clear. They write comments and phrases on signs and show them

too. In this case schools and communities have supported Greta in protesting for Climate Change. She has been making this clear all over the world and has given speeches. Greta Thunberg is a strong young fighter and has proudly been given:

the times person of the year,

Right livehood award,

golden kamera award,

international children’s peace prize,

Ambassador of conscience award and many more.
