What we are learning this term

Literacy

We are focusing on writing on the line and using finger spaces between our words. We are spelling some high frequency words and working towards writing sentences using capital letters and full stops.

Maths

We are learning our number bonds to 20. We are also practising our counting through number songs and rhymes. Can your child sing you a number song that we have learnt?

Phonics

In phonics we are learning our sounds which help us to spell and read. We will be given two books a week to share at home.

Science

Our current science topic is animals including humans. We have been identifying our body parts.We will soon be looking at our senses. During different points of the year we will be looking at signs of the seasons. Can your child identify the different seasons?
