PE
We have indoor PE on a Monday afternoon.
Our indoor kit is white shorts and white t-shirts and we either wear plimsolls or we are bare foot.
We have outdoor PE on a Friday afternoon.
Our outdoor kit is a white t-shirt and tracksuits and trainers.
Year 1
What we are learning this term
Literacy
This term we will be reading stories with a familiar setting and looking at information texts. We will also be creating our own poems.
Maths
The areas that we will be covering this term include shape, length and measure. We also be partitioning numbers and continue to practice writing and spelling numbers up to 20.
Phonics
In phonics we are learning our sounds which help us to spell and read. We will be given two books a week to share at home.
Science
In Science we will continue to look at seasonal changes. We will also be investigating everyday materials and their properties.
Topic
We have been learning about the lives of Mary Seacole and Florence NIghtingale.
Welcome to Year 1
Our class teachers are Mrs Ahir and Mrs Broadhead.Our teaching assistants are Mrs Trivedi and Mrs Pancholi. Mrs Harris and Mrs Sandland work with Year 1 on Tuesdays.
