WEEK 4-CIVIL SERVANTS

In this week of Micro-society we had a lot of visitors. First we had two women from the navy and army they even taught us how to salute and one of them let us try on hats while the other lady was letting us try on army gear: a belt for rations a army vest and a coat with the union jack sewed onto it. At the end we had a quiz and if you got the question correct you would get a water bottle. The next day an accountant come in to talk to us about being a banker/accountant she sat on a chair in the middle of the classroom and explained the responsibilities about being an accountant and when she was done we asked questions like what you need to be good at to be an accountant. On Wednesday a civil lawyer came in and talked about court and what it’s like being a lawyer and at the end we asked questions. Next we had another accountant come in but this time she talked to us about tax and we did a game where there were a group of people and the lady would give a post it note to people and the thing they were in charge of things like charity and health and safety and they’d write down how important it was out of 10 then she gave the group of people a post it note and it said they’d collected £7m so if health said 9/10 they were asking for £9m but the government didn’t have enough to pay them. The lady said that this is a real problem going on in the world and then we asked questions to her and she’d answer them. What would you have asked her ????
