SOLAR ECLIPSE

What's a solar eclipse?

A solar eclipse is when the sun, moon and earth come in line with each other. The moon moves infront of the sun blocking out the light from the sun. This means that we can't see the light from the sun.

Are the sun and the

moon the same size?

No, they aren't the same size. They look the same size because the sun is further away from the earth than the moon.

These are solar eclipse glasses. When you

are looking at the sun you have to wear

these to protect your eyes. NEVER look

at the sun without these on. If you look

at the sun without these on then you will

go blind.

This is the eclipse at its peak point.
