The school chaplains visited the Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre on the 20th of May. The staff warmly welcomed us and we were introduced to their elderly clients. We had a lively chat with them and they told us about their background and their days at the centre.

Everyone had an interesting story to tell us and the time passed swiftly. We were all very sad to say goodbye but we knew that they were in a safe and happy environment. The centre gives them the freedom to do whatever they want.

As I left, I felt a sense of pride and joy knowing that we had made someone smile and mad a big difference to their ordinary day. The elderly were really intrigued about our school so the pupil chaplains felt that we should invite them over for an afternoon tea. We hope that they are able to come to us as we are really looking forward to seeing them again.
