In the Foundation Phase pupils should learn basic moral and spiritual values beginning with an awareness that they are special to God even though they are young and small. They should also learn that what they say and do is important and how they treat other people matters. What they learn in this area will come from the Bible and from the example of Christians through the centuries (e.g. St Francis and the Saints of Wales).

In Key Stage 2 pupils should begin to work out how beliefs about other people and about right and wrong are linked with behaviour. They should begin to realise that rules of behaviour and moral values are expressed in the life of communities and in human relationships and also, in a more general sense, in our concerns for people we have never met and in our treatment of the natural world.

Yn y Cyfnod Sylfaen dylai disgyblion ddysgu gwerthoedd moesol ac ysbrydol sylfaenol gan ddechrau gydag ymwybyddiaeth eu bod yn arbennig yng ngolwg Duw er eu bod yn ifanc ac yn fychan. Dylent hefyd ddysgu bod yr hyn y maent yn ei ddweud ac yn ei wneud yn bwysig a bod y modd y maent yn trin pobl eraill yn cyfrif. Bydd yr hyn a ddysgant yn y maes hwn yn dod o'r Beibl ac o esiamplau a osodwyd gan Gristnogion ar draws y canrifoedd (e.e. Sant Ffransis a Saint Cymru).

Dylai disgyblion Cyfnod Allweddol 2 ddechrau dirnad sut y cysylltir credoau am bobl eraill â'r da a'r drwg a chydag ymddygiad. Dylent ddechrau sylweddoli bod rheolau ymddygiad a gwerthoedd moesol yn cael eu mynegi ym mywyd cymunedau ac ym mherthynas pobl â'i gilydd a hefyd, yn fwy cyffredinol, yn ein pryderon am bobl nad ydym erioed wedi cwrdd â hwy, ac yn ein hymwneud â'r byd naturiol.
