Outside, the wind whipped the snow across the roads.  Already you could barely see anything.  It was too cold to be out.  The snowstorm blindfolded the town, muffling the world in white silence.


Inside the warehouse, it was quite dark.  Years of dust had covered the windows with a thin layer and only a faint light filtered through.  Each footstep echoed, leaving behind a trail of footprints through the dust.  Boxes of different sizes were piled high, like strange towers.  Cobwebs hung between the boxes like lace nets.  An abandoned ladder lay at an awkward  angle across what looked like an old television set.  Its wires spilled out.  Max stood still for a moment and let his breathing settle.


It was then that he heard it.  The faintest of sounds – a floorboard creaked.  Then, another.  He stood quite still, his senses alert, straining to listen.  For a long while it was quite quiet – only the distant murmurings of the wind drifting snow.  Then somebody coughed …



Your setting description:


On the cold snowy day, sheets of snow hit the ground stealing the luscious, emerald green colour from the grass. It had been minutes before the snowstorm started and already you could see barely anything. The wind was howling like a ferocious wolf as another 5 inches of snow hit the ground. CRUNCH,CRUNCH Max stepped outside and the only sound was his boots slowly cutting through the deep snow. As he was walking, the cold bitter wind hit his face giving him frostbite. The lumps of hail bounced off his warm fuzzy coat into his face. He came across a weird, abandoned warehouse. Max entered...


As Max found his way in through the scary, barley standing warehouse he realised it hadn't been touched for years as there were cobwebs hanging from wall to wall and dust on everything in there. As it had been snowing, there was a thin layer of snow on the ground because there were holes in the windows and cracks in the floor. as soon as Max took one step it make a weird cracking noise as the floorboards were old.


Max started to look around a bit more and all around the gigantic room were boxes that towered over him he stood still to let his breathing go back to normal because he had just been running around the room seeing if he could find anything interesting then all of a sudden he heard the floorboard creek but he was standing still so his heart started pounding again like a fierce vibration. An eerie silence approached, all you could hear was Max's heavy breathing. Then Max realised there was somebody lurking in the shadows...
