In Sweden the season begins with St.Lucia.St Lucia is celebrated on December 13th.It is celebrated in Sweden and Norway.This saint is an Italian saint and is the patron saint of Sweden.It is a celebration of light only celebrated on the darkest days of the month.

Sweden symbols for Christmas are mostly considered as the Yule goat or wreath of St.Lucia.The Yule goat is Scandinavian and was a man size goat in the 11th century.Now a days the Yule goat is very popular on Christmas for decarations.
