Newport County Kids Cup

After winning the Newport County Kids Cup for the last 2 years, our talented footballers were full of hope and confidence going into the Torfaen leg of the tournament. We began the campaign with some convincing wins and began to show our quality by scoring some fantastic goals. Breezing through the group stage and coming out as group winners, we progressed to the semi final against our local friends from Padre Pio. After a hard fought victory, we played New Inn in the final. A nervous affair saw us in deadlock which resulted in the dreaded penalty shoot out. Nerves of steel from our lads saw us retain the cup and once again be crowned as winners! We were all so excited! We scored 34 goals and conceded just 2. The team travel to Ebbw Vale to take part in Cup Final Day to play against the best in Torfaen, Newport, Blaina Gwent and Monmouth. Huge well done to all involved in the tournament. Great sportsmanship and tremendous talent!
