Dear Mother,

As we got onto the train my heart skipped a beat. Many questions raced through my head, the most saddening one was, would I go to the same house as Janya? I cheered up as we were about one third of the way, when Janya pointed out a heron to me. After that I had my eyes were either glued to the window, the engine in front or my book.as we past through some woodland I saw many interesting birds. The woodland was amazing beautiful, old oaks and beaches were plentiful, here and there were coppiced ashes and hazels.

As we got off the train, which I regret to have left, I saw many beautiful houses and gardens. As we were marched down the road I had two questions running through my head, one was, am I going to be with Janya? and, were the people that I went with going to be nice?

Mr and Mrs Moss took us in they were kind hearted people, just like grandma and grandpa. Mr Moss is a carpenter, he has a stammer and a limp. I help him with his work. He specializes in making dover tail boxes. He teaches me how to make intricate chair legs with a draw knife, chisel and planes. Mrs Moss works in the local post office. Luckily Janya came with me , she helps Mrs Moss do the cooking, washing up and and washing.
