volcanoes are a type of a mountain that erupts. this devastating event can be good and bad for the environment. when the volcanoes erupt there could be danger to anything or anyone around. many building are obliterated and many people suffer.

in order to understand why volcanoes cause so much destruction you first need to understand the bizarre science behind it. incredibly, the earth consists of four layers: outer core, inner core, mantle and the crust. the crust is what we live on now. its cracked in many places into large slabs of land called tectonic plates. these plates are constantly shifting. occasionally one will get jammed and give away. then it will push down on the magma which will squeeze through the gaps and slowly enter the volcano. then finally the volcano will erupt and the lava will slowly trickle down the volcano.

this is what will happen in a volcanic explosion. first you will feel tremors. the movement of the ground the floor will shake. then you will hear a loud bang sound. that is a loud explosion. after an ash cloud will appear in the sky this is cause of the smoke that is soon coming out. then the lava will slowly trickle down the volcano. after a while a pyroclastic flow will com out. this is a dense destructive mass of hot ash, lava and ashes that will race down at a flowing speed. many people will be panicked they must escape!
