Grandpa - He was a famous pilot once but now he wears his slippers to the supermarket, doesn't always remember Jacks name and thinks he is back in world war 2 and can fly a Spitfire.

The book is about a boy called Jack and his grandpa. His Grandpa is a bit mad and still thinks its world war 2, he has to go and live in twilight towers and its horrible there so Jack who loves him so much he tries to break him out but not just grandpa all the other old people as well. It is a really funny escape plan with coffins falling down the stairs and we get to meet the queen - grandpa is a hero and Jack will always remember him.

I Would recommend this book because:

You would love this book if you are interested in history and especially world war 2 - its really exciting and funny and you will laugh a lot

When they broke out of the old folks home, there was a fire but they escaped and then Grandpa disappeared but he was flying in a Spitfire and it was a really funny exciting escape
