28th July 1914

Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia.

1st August 1914

Germany declare war on Russia to protect Austria-Hungary because Russia prepare their troops to help Allie Serbia.

3rd August 1914

Germany declare war on France because they prepare troops to help Russia. Germany ask permission to march through Belgium to get to France. Belgium refuse.

4th August 1914

Germany march through Belgium anyway and Britain protest. Germany ignore so Britain declare war on Germany.

5th August 1914

Montenegro declare war on Germany

6th August 1914

Austria-Hungary declare war on Russia and then Serbia declare war on Germany

Japan declares war on Austria-Hungary.

Japan declares war on Germany.

August 11 France declares war on Austria-Hungary

The United Kingdom declares war on Austria-Hungary

The British army arrives in France.
