Who is Martin Luther King?


Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and a

civil-rights activist, he had a massive impact on race relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s.


He was born on January 15th 1929 and died in April 4th 1968. . His most famous work is “I have a dream” (in 1963) speech, in which he spoke of his dream of United States that has no segregation (separating people because of the colour of their skin) and racism.


In the US, all workers have the day off from work on Martin Luther Kings Day which is on 15th January.


Sadly Martin Luther Kind was shot and killed on his 41st birthday by James Earl Ray. Martin Luther King will always be remembered for his famous speeches and his peaceful approach to bringing people together,

March 10th, 1928-April 23, 1998) was an American fugitive and felon convicted assassinating Martin Luther King Jr in Memphis, Tennessee. Ray was convicted on his 41st birthday after entering a guilty plea to forgo a jury trial. Martin was shot at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Memphis.
