Where has the time gone! Next week, we are planning on a really ‘Eggciting’ end to term. We will kick off the week with a walk around the school grounds. Please chat to your child about the different signs of Spring. We will be making our Easter Greeting cards and have fun finding clues on an Easter Egg Hunt.

We will also be sharing the Easter Story and how this links to the giving of Easter Eggs during this time.

The greatest challenge this week will be to plan and make your Easter cake for our,

‘GREAT FOUNDATION EASTER BAKE OFF!’

You may bake one large cake or a selection of small cakes, but they must have an Easter theme. We will be talking to the children about what sort of equipment we might be able to buy with the money raised.

Please bring your cakes in on the morning of Tuesday 24th March. The cakes will be judged by our School Catering Manager and three prizes will be awarded in Foundation 1 and 2 for the most original and creative cakes!

Cakes will go on sale Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the end of the morning for Nursery parents outside the unit and at the end of the school day for the rest of the school on the Junior playground. Please ensure all cakes are placed on disposable plates/cake boards as it will be very difficult to return plates, tins etc.

Hopefully we’ll raise lots of funds, so get baking!
