Challenge 3.11.22

Thank you for all your wonderful home work. The children have really enjoyed explaining their work to rest of the class and, thank you for your support. I was so impressed with the work produced. Well done F2!

This week, we have been learning all about celebrations and we read the book: 'Sparks will fly' on Twinkl together.

We have built a pretend bonfire and we have used our creative talents to produce some creative writing, using our phonical knowledge to describe firework noises and we have also made fireworks with craft items. We made divas with playdough and discussed how to keep safe during Bonfire Night. We have also begun pricing our items in our role play cafe.

The children have learned the sounds h b f l this week and next week we will be learning the sounds ff, ll, ss.

In math's, we will continue with addition but will be looking at different sets that total 5 and, if we can find the time, describe 2d shape using appropriate vocabulary! We will begin to learn a few songs related to celebrations and, will continue to use our imagination to make 3d rockets. We will also be discussing Remembrance day and painting poppies.

The challenge this week is to learn as many of the songs on the sheet sent home in your child's book bag as you possibly can. These will be our songs for our up-coming performance!

Reminders

  • Your children will receive their targets next week so please keep an eye on their book bags! Please try to practice their targets at home, your input really does make a difference and is very much appreciated.
  • School Disco is tomorrow. Please check your email for details.
  • If you have any small cardboard boxes etc., could you be so kind as to bring them in so we can craft with them? We would be most grateful of any donations.
