If you happen to have this book at home please share it with your child. Alternatively, please look at pictures of different toy boxes with your child. The children continue to be very excited about the Toy Shop. To link in with our shop role play, we ask that this week you write a number of shopping lists and talk to your child about what is on the list and why. This will support your child’s writing development. Please give them opportunities to help you write your lists too. This could be with their emergent writing or by helping you to choose what is written. The children will begin by listening to the story ‘Kipper’s Toybox’ by Mick Inkpen. There will be creative opportunities for the children to make their own toy box as well as helping to decorate Kipper’s toy box. In cooking the children will be making a Cheesy Snake, based on a character from the story. To support their mathematical development, the children will create a simple repeating pattern on a snake.F2 Parents please check your child’s wallet for your copy of their humpty word wall assessment. Please support your child to learn a row or 5 new words each week.Thank you.If you happen to have this book at home please share it with your child.
