The Great Fire Of Greenford

Wednesday 4th November

I was overfilled with joy as our lovely teacher Mrs Tigg told us that we were going to build a model house and we would burn them.I was so excited that I forgot all my other homework.

The fabulous day had arrived, I was so agitated that when playtime finished I could not stop my eager to go near the houses.Mr Odesheo [our helper] had lit the inferno on a beautiful house which said Pudding lane. When it started all I could see was smoke! Where was all the combustion? In a blink of an eye the fire had grown bigger and engulfed a lot of houses! .I was feeling repentant for all those who had lost their houses and lives. Not soon did it take for the scorching fire to engulf all the houses. Mr Odesheo had used the fire extinguisher to force the fire to stop.

I felt so grateful as now I realised how it felt to be in the Great fire of London in 1666 . My heart was full of sorrow for the people who had lost their beautiful homes.
