Chinese New Year

Our theme this week is Chinese New Year.  We have been learning all about this special festival and how it is celebrated. We have made Chinese fans, lanterns, read the traditional tale and have also had a go at writing some Chinese numbers. We have also had some Chinese New Year themed messy play with noodles. We explored the noodles with our hands and then used different tools to manipulate them.

Next week we will be reading the story The Toy party and we will be baking some cakes!
