Animal with a back bone: Dog

A dog is a mammal so it has a backbone. A dog's lifespan is normally 13 years old. A dog's daily sleep is 12-14 hours. It is part the family Canidae. Dogs are as smart as two year old children, dogs can read our emotions and they don't feel guilt. A dog's sense of smell is 10,000 to 100,000 stronger than ours and different tail wags mean different things.

Animal without a backbone: Butterfly

Some butterflies are not colourful but there are about 17,500 different species of them. Butterflies flap their wings about 5 times every second and their lifespan is 12 months.
