This week in Simone Class, we have been learning to make a Mr Greenhead. A Mr Greenhead is a sock that is filled with grass seed and compost that grows grass hair. If you want to make a Mr Greenhead, you will need; compost, water, scissors, grass seed, paper, glue, a plastic cup or yoghurt pot and a clean sock. You need to follow instructions to make the Greenhead using special instruction words like: first, then, after that, next and finally. We have also been growing our own sunflower plants. Some of our sunflowers have germinated and even grown leaves! We had loads of fun making 'beany bags' without soil. These bags are hanging in our classroom so we can watch them go through their life cycle. Do you know the life cycle of a plant?
