The red lightsaber is that colour because of the red kyber crystal inside. the reason that the saber is this colour is that there is a large torrent of anger trapped inside the crystal. It is most likely that the most famous wielder of the red lightsaber is the scourge of the rebel alliance, Darth Vader.
