Democracy

What is a democracy ?

A democracy is where a country

is lead by somebody and that

there decisions are backed

up by the public.

In our country we have a parliament

which is lead by a political party.

The role of parliament is to pass laws,

provide voting and discuss major issues of

the day. Parliament is made up of the

following: The Queen, The House of Commons

and The House of Lords.

What is the difference between

the house of lords or the house

of commons?

The house of the commons is

filled with Members of Parliament

(MP) and the house of lords is full

with lords and ladies.

The Queen

is the ruler of the

country and every

decision that the (MPs) make has to be approved by her.
