Transition into year 6

In Year 6, we have many responsibilities for example: Head girl/boy Deputy Head girl/boy and House Captains. These are only some of the responsibilities in Year 6. In this Year 6, you don't only have to prepare for being the head of the school. You have to prepare for setting an example for the rest of the school.

Maturing:

As you come in Year 6, you need to become more mature since you are the head of the school. As the head of the school, you need to be a role model for the rest of the school since if you do something wrong for example run in the corridors then the lower years will be sure to copy you. So this means you have to set an example and be well behaved so the younger years will copy you.

Learning:

In learning, you are pushed to the best of your ability to train for SATS and Year 7. So your learning is much more advance than the younger year groups and you are trying to be ready for Year 7 and high school. This means you have to work harder and really push your self to the best you can be.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities in Year 6 are can be hard because they come with a great amount of responsibilities. Head girl/boy being Deputy Head girl/boy and House Captains are some of the rolls you can take on. Head and Deputy Head girl and boy are chosen by the teachers whilst the House captains are chosen within the house with a vote. These rolls only last for a full term then the next ones are chosen for the new term.
