Get an adult to help you with your personal calendar.
· What day it is? Is it a school day or a weekend? What day was yesterday?
· What date is it? Yesterday was the 21st so today with be…?
· What month is it?
Look outside, is it sunny or raining or cloudy? What season is it?

Physical Education/ Movement
It is always good to start the day with movement.
Every Monday is also PE in Butterflies.
You can choose between Andy’s Wild Workout’s or Otis’s Boogie Beebies. Or you can do both! Every day this week you will have both as options. Both workouts have an animal theme. Andy will take you to the African Savannah, whilst Oti will take you to the jungle.

Phonics
This week we will be focussing on two sounds – w and x.
Today our sound is w.
1. Watch the video.

3. Then practice writing the letter w. There are a few different practice sheets to choose from.

Literacy
Last week we finished The Oak Academy’s Literacy unit – “The Noisy House”. I hope you enjoyed it!
We are starting a brand new unit this week. Adam and Panda will still be your teachers and this unit is “Bat Learns to Dance.”
There are 10 lessons in this unit but only 8 days until the end of term. To make sure that we finish the unit before we go on Easter holidays, we will have an extra literacy lesson on a couple of afternoons over the next week and a half.

Every Monday afternoon, Butterflies do Religious Education
This term we are thinking about the Easter story.
1. Watch the video clip of “The Story of Easter (Jesus’ Sacrifice) below. This story is about the crucifixion and Jesus’ resurrection.

2. The crucifixion is a very sad part of the Easter story. The resurrection is a very happy part of the Easter story. Talk about these feelings with your child. Can they think about a time they were sad and a time they were happy?
3. Art activity – “Paper Plate Calvary Hill”
You will need:
- a paper plate
- brown paper
- crayons
- scissors
- glue
Instructions (mum or dad will need to help with some of these steps)
1. Cut out a half circle in the centre of your plate and fold it up.
2. Colour the plate – you can choose whether you have a path or not.
3. Cut out strips of brown paper and form three crosses. Glue them onto the hill top.
