Great Fire of Greenford

Yesterday 4th of November both classes brought in there mini houses no bigger than a hand for that was what our home work was.I was very proud with such an out standing modle i made. Our topic is the Great Fire of London and based on that we were told our very own houses that we've built by are selves would be burnt down!!

Every body was extremely thrilled for it to start,we all lined up very excitedly around the little town of houses we made (wich was in the playground).I could see on every ones faces they could definitely not wait and neither could i.

It was finally going to start as Mr Odeesho rapidly smothered the houses with wight spirit so the fire could spread easily and Miss Laurence and Miss Dodd were ready to hand over the matches to Miss Tigg.It was finally time when Miss Tigg scraped the matches and lit the very first house(that was obviously the bakery).Suddenly there was a nervous yet exciting, dramatic silence wich spread across the play ground. The fire was starting!!

All of a sudden the children

started talking like mad;the

first very few flames burst

out .It spread across the mini

town like a cheeter chasing

for its pray.The flames were

getting bigger and bigger swallowing the little papper home made houses but if you think about it in the real great fire of london great vivid flames would be racing 10 times faster not missing a single house out.Despite the fact i was realy enjoying the sight i suddenly thought back on how tragic and torturous this would have been be for the real Londoners trying to survive it with only leather buckets and water pistols.

It was more than 2min now and more than half of it had burnt into

miniature little bits of fithy, torn, paper hovering above the burning sight. Can you imagine on what it would feel like if you were one of those Londerners traped in a room with nothing exept great flames of inferno surrounding you?At the end there was nothing but grey uninteresting lilliputian bits of soot and ashes sourownding the play ground.I felt very sorry for the poor Londerners and luckly the Great fire of london did stop in the end (after 5 days or so) other wise we wouldnt be here today.I realy enjoid this topic and had a great experience.
