An Interview With Mr Dixon

This week we asked Mersey Class' teacher and terrible rapper, Mr Dixon, some hard-hitting questions...

Why do you like computers so much?

They allow people to be creative and the internet is amazing because you can find out about anything that interests you.

When did you start teaching?

When I was 26... I think!

Who is your favourite superhero?

Well, technically Batman isn't a 'super' hero so I'll say Daredevil. He's blind but he still manages to fight crime. He's not perfect like Superman.

Do you have any pets?

No but I have 2 children. They're like pets. I wouldn't mind having a lizard.

Where were you born?

Plymouth, Devon.

Do you speak any different languages?

A bit of French.

Which animal would you be?

An eagle. The view would be really cool.

If you were to teach any other year group, which one would it be?

I love teaching Year 2. I also had a nice time in Year 3.

Why are you so bad at rapping?

I'm just practising. Give me some time and I'll be King of the rhyme... Rhymes.

The Westbourne Chronicle

On Sunday 14th May, Trent Class set off on their much anticipated journey to the Isle of Wight. The journey flew by and soon we were on the ferry bound for Fishbourne, Isle of Wight. After a fascinating tour of the beautiful Osborne House (Queen Victoria's holiday home) we set off to Montague House to find out who we were sharing our room with! After a delicious 3 course meal, we left for the park. Seeing as Alum Bay, Godshill and the model village were so interesting and exciting on Monday, we were all looking forward to a fantastic day at Robin Hill Country park. On Wednesday the weather was horrible, we were all soaked to the skin. However that didn't stop us from going on the Cliffhanger roller coaster 5 times! The rides were amazing! The long walk was really not as bad as we thought it would be. As a matter of fact, Mr Dixon's rapping was worse than the actual walking! We then finished our ice-creams (thank you Mrs Bolton) and entered the zoo. After seeing some big cats we returned to the Hotel just in time for the D.I.S.C.O. The next morning it was already Friday. Time to leave! NOOOO! The time had flown by in the blink of an eye. Thank you Mrs Bolton, Mr Dixon, Miss Ritchie and Mrs Porkolab for giving us such a memorable last school trip at Westbourne.

Did you go to the Isle of Wight? How was the trip? Was it really as wet as it looked?! Tell us about it in the comments.
