Task 1 - Complete the Summer themed Maths Activity Booklet

for Year 1. This is a packed booklet of fun activities practising the

skills and concepts we have learnt this year.

Task 2 - Complete your Rising Stars Workbook C pages 46 - 52

on Making Turns. You will need an adult to help you with halves,

quarters and three quarters, then right and left turns. They could give you instructions to move around the garden. Eg Take 5 paces forward, make a

quarter turn to the right, next go 10 paces forward and make a half turn

clockwise and so on. Once you are confident, have a go at the pages in your workbook.

Task 3 - Practice telling the time practically with o'clock and half past times. If you are confident then progress onto quarter past and quarter to in order to prepare for Year 2! Can you tell the time on an analogue clock and match to the digital time? Complete worksheets to consolidate your learning! Choose 2* or 3* worksheet.

Task 4 - Play BBC Bitesize Maths

Karate Cats Maths games. Choose your

game, choose your level and off you go!!

practising Phases 2, 3 and 5. Play the Tricky Word Trucks game,the Reading Robot game and challenge yourself on the flashcards.

Why not read a comic on www.phonicsplaycomics.co.uk? You can

revise your phonic knowledge by reading comics - choose your

level and off you go.



Continue to work on your spellings following the weekly programme using the

look, cover, write and check technique. You will find the lists in the home

learning section in Week 1.

Get your Mum and Dad to test you on the common exception words for year 1.

Have you improved? Work on learning the ones you made mistakes on. Try to

put these into sentences.

If you can spell all the common exception words for year 1, start to learn the year 2

common exception words in readiness for your year 2 journey.

In readiness for year 2 and joining your writing, it is really important

that you practise the correct letter formation sweeping up on all your

lower case letters. Write the alphabet making sure all your letters are

correctly formed. Write your name and address carefully. Can you

write the date of your birthday this year?

Make sure you have a sharp pencil and sit up correctly so you can

do your very best!

Task 3 - Follow the instructions to create an under

the sea water colour painting.

Task 4 - Choose a summer mindfulness colouring

sheet and relax and enjoy colouring carefully.
