Maths

This week in Maths we have been adding and subtracting fractions. We also learnt about angles and different types of shapes and had a maths assessment on arithmetic.

English

This week have been finishing our third person story about a robot called Origin. We have been learning about our speech since it was one of our Year 5 objectives. Today (Friday) we had a circut where we moved from one table to another and on each one it had a different thing for us to work on to edit and develop our work.Who did your character meet?

P.E.

On Tuesday the 15th May Year 5 walked down to Earlswood Cricket Club. We played 3 matches and won 2 of them. Our first one was against Dicken's Heath but unfortunately we lost last one.

Geography/History

We have been writing hieroglyphics and making our own secret code for others to work out. Hieroglyphics is the type of writing that Egyptians used just under 2000 years ago. We had a fact sheet and we listed points as to why the river nile is so important to the people of Egypt.
