Hi Lara and Frankie here. On Wednesday 12th June, school council went to the Houses of Parliament. We caught the train from Petts Wood to London Bridge and then we got the tube to Westminister and walked to Parliament. When we arrived, we got a guide who gave us passes to go through security. We walked through an artistic hallway to get to the Common Room and saw where Theresa May sits! Next, we walked to the House of Lords and saw were the Queen sits....her seat looked like it was covered in gold! We also saw every MPs (Member of Parliament) post box. After that,we joined in a workshop about important people......Bob Stuart's assistant spoke to us about his job as a member of parliament. We then had lunch and set off back to school. What a great trip and very insightful.
