Yesterday, my class took part in an exploration of the bronze age (it was 6000 years ago).Do you know anything about the bronze age? Cautiously I walked into the hall and wondered what we were doing at the back with the trays of soil.

First, we travelled back in time down a time line.it went back to the stone age, we were doing the bronze age. They didn't write back them so Archeologists had to dig to find out how they lived and what they did.

Minutes later, we studied objects from the bronze-age

The Bronze Age

.There were thing made out of flint

like arrow tips, spear tops and axe heads. Then there were the round houses. They were round

(hence the name) and they had a wooden scaffolding to hold up the roof.

We now went to the back of the room, there were dirt in trays. There was a bucket of trowels and spades. Then we got handed the tools and dug out the soil. Then we found a skull then an entire body and animal bones. There was flint and random pieces of metal, we all put them in a tub.

Finally, we studied the incredible artefacts. There were many magnificent things. Including bones and arrow heads. They looked a lot different from the start because they had been buried in soil and had changed (slightly).

Over all we had a blast of a time and learned a lot. We'd love to do it again and we hope you have fun doing it.
