This is where London is.
Our Queen Elizabeth II lives here.
Did you know the Queen's full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary?
The Queen has four children. They are: Prince Charles of Wales, Princess Anne, Andrew Duke of York and Edward Earl of Wessex.
Her grandchildren are: Prince Williams of Wales, Prince Harry of Wales, Peter Phillips, Zara Phillips, Princess Beatrice of York, Princess Eugenie of York, James, Viscount Severn.
The Queen's great grandchildren are Savannah Phillips and Isla Phillips.
This is not ALL of her family!
Look at the next page for her family tree.
This is Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives.
This map is to clarify the UK.
These four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island form the UK (United Kingdom).

Parliament
There are three main parts that form Parliament, they are: The House of Commons, The House of Lords and The Monarch. Parliament is in London, Westminster Abbey.
This is Big Ben (the clock tower).
The House of Commons has 650 members, each who are elected to represent the views of the people in the area they want to represent (who vote for them). They are all MPs (Members of Parliament). the Leader of the Party becomes the Prime Minister and once every week meets up with the Queen to discuss what's going on in their area. They help make laws as well.
The House of Lords has around 800 members of Life Peers, Hereditary Peers and Bishops. They are selected for their knowledge and experiences and help make laws.
The Monarch (King or Queen at the time, for us right now it's Queen Elizabeth II) sign laws.
How to make a law
Both houses together make laws. Laws are rules we all agree to live by. First, someone comes up with an idea of a law, which is called a Bill. Then The House of Commons and Laws debate on whether it should be a law or not. Finally when they come to a decision, the Bill goes to The Monarch who then signs it.
Now it's a Law.
