"Honey why don't we get a little cat for Katie?" asked Mum.

"Yes, sure. she has been working so hard," replied Dad.

A week later, Mum and Dad were in the garden.

"Honey, Katie. Come out in the back yard. We have a big surprise for you," said Mum.

"OK, mum. I'm coming right now," said Katie.

Katie ran downstairs and went into the garden. "Yes, Mum, what's the surprise? I'll see for myself," added Katie.

"Look in the box," said Dad.

Katie went to the garden table and looked inside the box.

"OK, well what's the surprise? There's nothing in the box," said Katie.

"What! But it was there a second ago. Where did it go? Let's all look for it," said Mum. "OK, it's not under the table."

"Look! There it is,' said Dad. "It's in the tree. Let me get it down,' said Dad. "Wait!"

Katie was very excited and couldn't wait to hold the cat in her arms. 'So it is a cat, Mum and Dad. Wow! I always wanted a little cat. I love this cat and I will take good care of her. I will name her Eve,' said Katie.

"Wow! that;'s a nice name,' said Dad.

'Thanks a lot. I realy love my gift," said Katie.
