The Very Quiet Cricket

Next week our learning theme will be based on the story of ‘The Very Quiet Cricket’ by Eric Carle. If you have this story at home please share it with your child.

For the challenge this week we ask that you talk with your child about crickets, have they ever heard one? Encourage your child to ask questions about crickets and in particular the sound they make. Please post your child’s questions on the blog and we will research answers with the children. The children may be experts by the end of the week! Next week we will be exploring loud and quiet sounds in music, as well as continuing some of our mindfulness exercises. In PE we will be practising the races for our Sports Day.

Date for your Diary: Monday 23 rd July

We will be holding a ‘Beautiful Bug Ball’ in the morning. Please send your child in wearing a bug costume or headdress as we will be dancing in the hall and playing some games to celebrate the end of term and the end of our exciting topic this half term. (If your child is in F2 please send in their uniform in a named bag so they may get changed after the ball.)

* Today is the last day for paying the Foundation trip money; please go to the office if you have any questions about parent pay.

F2: If you have not yet sent back the consent form for Bikeability Balance please do so ASAP.
