Week Two of Microsociety Blog!!!

This week in Microsociety we fit in two lessons. They were on

Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we split up the class into

groups. Each group played a round of Monopoly!! It was great fun because other people tried other strategy's than others at the end someone won by having the most money and most homes. In my group I won.

My strategy was to save my money until someone would come close to me. When someone was behind me I would bye a home or hotel so they would have to pay me if they land on my spot. My strategy worked most of the time.

On Friday we started talking about currency which ment money. Some people had bought in some currency from other country's as a show and tell.

We also did a tiny activity which included sorting out papers that had words on them. There were questions asking things to do with currency. All we had to do was sort them out. After that we discussed how different objects could be currency and some that couldn't. some of the examples we used were shells, a golden bar, a cow, diamonds, coins, a bag of rice and some other examples.

We now know how our money notes are going to look like.

The way we chose was by a vote just like with the name and flag. Each table drew a note and we voted on it. Orien's table won the votes by 13. Our table had done well since we came in second place with 6 but we didn't get chosen.
