Platypus

The platypus only lives in Australia and

Tasmania. They eat shellfish, worms and other insects. Unfortunately they don't have teeth, so they stuff gravel in their cheeks to help them break down their food.

The description of a platypus is the following: They have a duck's beak, an otter's body and a beaver's tail.

The platypus is one of the only breeds that are mammals and lay eggs. They also have what many people call a "sixth sense". This is because they have special bills. These are special because they allow a platypus to hunt under water with their eyes closed!
